TEARFUL Doctor Who babe Billie Piper is to be dumped by her TV boyfriend —for another man.
The Time Lord's sidekick Rose Tyler will be left heart broken when her lover Mickey Smith tells her he is ditching her.
And to make matters worse he heads off into the sunset with a new male pal.
Writer Russell T Davies, 42, said: "The love triangle between Mickey and Rose and the Doctor is over. "The rest of the series will focus on the relationship between Doctor and Rose."
The bombshell comes in Saturday's episode as the Doctor (David Tennant, 34) and his assistants battle to defeat the Cybermen who are trying to take over a parallel Earth.
Hug
The Doc and Rose (Billie, 23) are about to board the Tardis and head home when Mickey suddenly declares he is not coming with them on their space travels.
He gives stunned Rose a hug and tells her that he is staying behind on the parallel Earth.
Mickey —played by Noel Clarke, 30 — says: "You don't need me any more. We had something a long time ago but not any more.
"It's just you and the Doctor now. It's always been you two."
With Rose in tears, he heads off with his new friend — a rebel called Jake Simmonds (Andrew Hayden Smith, 22) — to carry on the fight against the Cybermen.
Noel's link with the show is not completely over though.
He has just written an episode for the new Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood starring Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman, 38).
