Doctor Who: The Ghosts of N Space

Station: Radio 2

Starts: Saturday

Synopsis: The enduring time traveller materialises on Radio 2 in the familiar guise of the TV Doctor Who, Jon Pertwee, alongside companions Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen) and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart (Nicholas Courtney). This new six-part tale, written by Pertwee's original Doctor Who producer, Barry Letts, finds the Brigadier holidaying in Italy and embroiled with the local Mafia. As the Doctor and Sarah come to his aid, all manner of other-dimensional spooks are unleashed. Chief villain Max Vilmio is played by Stephen Thorne, cloven-hoofed Azal from Pertwee's 1971 Who story, The Daemons.
