[edit]

Dr Who (BBC1, Wednesday) encountered a Northumbrian vicar played by Nicholas Parsons. We all know that after the Daleks the writers had to imagine something equally menacing for the Doctor to tackle, and they have chosen the rural clergy. This may prove to be an epic struggle.

David Johnson is the Rector of Gihnorton in Leicestershire.
