Jamie parting with Dr Who (1968)

1968-09-05 Daily Mirror.jpg

[edit]

JAMIE is leaving Dr. Who. Actor Frazer Hines—who plays the popular Scottish teenaged explorer in the TV science-fiction series—is to be written out of the show this year.

Frazer, 22, has been in the programme for the past two years. He is leaving the show at his own request.

"I'm leaving Dr. Who to concentrate on other film and TV parts," he said last night. "I've already stayed in the series longer than originally intended."
