"Dr. Who," at 11 on Maryland Public Television, Channels 22 and 67. This English import, based on an apparently endless series of books, is consistently the show which draws the most pledges from faithful fans during MPT's fundraising drives. The special effects are nothing to brag about and the acting is often wooden. But some of the sci-fi ideas are intriguing and even provocative.
