USE the spring school holidays to explore your creative abilities by enrolling in classes run by the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) at Kellyville.

NIDA Open's extensive range of creative play sessions, pop culture-themed activities and intensive skills-focused courses cater to two to 18-year-olds with activities also designed for teenagers with intellectual disabilities.

Courses will be run on weekdays between Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, October 6, at the Wrights Road Community Centre in Kellyville and other centres around NSW.

"NIDA Open's activities foster creativity, are a fun way to learn and are good value," NIDA Open head Mark Gaal said.

"As well as developing specific talents in kids and teenagers, these courses help build confidence and communication skills."

The popular Doctor Who classes are also back again these holidays and will be on for the first time at the ABC television studios in Ultimo.

These courses offer the opportunity to act in episodes using real scripts or reports from the ABC's 50th anniversary Doctor Who exhibition, for a mock life style documentary program.

"Participants often tell us how much they love our activities and many come back again to do more with us," Mr Gaal said.

Enrolments for the spring school holiday program are open.
