PATRICK TROUGHTON makes a younger if less cantankerous Dr. Who in the new series showing on ABC-TV regionals at 5.15 p.m., Fridays. Dr. Who in the earlier series was played by William Hartnell. In the new, as in the old series, the dealy Daleks, radio-activated robots, seek the distruction of the eccentric scientist and his fellow travellers in time and space.
