Ever wondered what the Doctor's school report would look like?

Peter Capaldi reveals the answer...

SOME OF TV's biggest names are going back to school, and it's all for a good cause. Joanna Lumley, Sue Perkins and Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi are just some of the TV stars who have written their own tongue-in-cheek school reports. The original documents will be auctioned later this month to raise money for the Cecily's Fund charity.

In his report, actor James Nesbitt grades himself a lowly 'Z, concluding that "The theatre is welcome to him." Meanwhile, Bake Off host Sue Perkins quotes one of her own teachers, who in 1982 wrote: "What Sue lacks in intelligence she makes up for in stupidity." It's perhaps little wonder that Peter Capaldi chose to spare his own blushes and contribute a report on behalf of the Doctor instead!

Cecily's Fund works to send thousands of orphans in Zambia to school every year. To see other celebrity school reports, and place your bid, go to tinyurl.com/cfauction. The auction opens on 24 July

CAPALDI GETS ARTISTIC

Glasgow School of Art graduate Peter Capaldi is an accomplished artist away from the camera and as a teenager contributed artwork to Doctor Who fanzines. In recent months, he's even surprised some lucky fans by doodling outer-space scenes on publicity postcards when answering his fan mail
