DOCTOR Who's two female assistants are to team up to face one of the time traveller's oldest enemies — the Sontarans.
The Doc's sidekick in the new series Donna Jones (Catherine Tate) gets together with Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) to battle the foe.
Martha will return to help the Doctor (David Tennant) after a spell in sci-fi spin-off Torchwood.
Freema said: "I am delighted to be back filming on Doctor Who with David and Catherine.
"Martha Jones returns in a fantastic storyline and the fans will get to see her in a whole new light."
The knuckle-headed Sontarans are back for the first time since 1975 when they took on Tom Baker as the Doctor. They'll be led by actor Christopher Ryan, best known as Mike in The Young Ones.
Guest stars in the new series — hitting screens next spring — include Felicity Kendal, Sarah Lancashire and Phil Davis.
