A HOLLYWOOD company owned by director Steven Spielberg is to spend £3m making a Dr Who TV series. BBC officials are in California discussing details of the series including who would control it.
The BBC axed Dr Who in 1989 when ratings plunged although the series had massive ratings world-wide since it began in the 1960s.
A host of top movies stars are in the running to play the Time Lord. They include Steve Martin, Robin Williams, Donald Sutherland, Harrison Ford, John Cleese. John Hurt, Billy Crystal, Stacy Keach and Kurt Russell.
