The last we saw of Doctor Who, his space/time ship, the TARDIS, had just crashed into the Titanic! Suffice it to say, in tonight's 90-minute season opener, David Tennant's hyperactive yet insanely poised Time Lord can't resist the urge to have a look-see—and who can blame him? Supercute Aussie singer Kylie Minogue is aboard as waitress Astrid Peth. After a little poking around, it dawns on the good Doctor that this is not the Titanic, but a replica that just happens to be orbiting Earth! Well, you don't have to be from Gallifrey to be asking yourself, "Hey, what the heck is going on here?" Throw in a Christmas party, a sabotage plot and a pack of killer androids and suddenly your head really starts to spin. Good thing the Doctor's in the house. —G J Donnelly
