[edit]

NICE idea, celebrating Doctor Who's silver jubilee by whisking him back to the year when he first fell to earth.

Unfortunately, Remembrance Of The Daleks brings back other memories of 1963... before the signature tune was given a disco mix, and the Doctor turned into a cross between an over-grown Boy Scout and an alternative comedian.

Sylvester is simply not the real McCoy. Still, it's good to hear again the cry "Exterminate! Exterminate!" from those petulant.. pepper-pots. They've now got the hang of stairs, which defeated the Daleks of old.

Somewhere on his journey through time and space, the Doctor has also managed to lose Bonnie Langford.

So let's be grateful for small mercies.
