Twin Named Time Lad Biggest Fan But Wants To Share Role With Brother

A SIX-YEAR-OLD Scots boy named the UK's biggest Doctor Who fan has told how he'd love to become the Time Lord one day - and share the role with his twin brother.

Flynn Gordon, from Inverness, was given the title by Doctor Who Adventures magazine after a nationwide search.

He won with his idea for a themed tea party, his designs for monsters and a letter telling how much the show means to him.

Like fellow Scots superfans David Tennant and Peter Capaldi, he hopes to become the Time Lord one day.

Flynn said: "When I grow up, I'd like to be Doctor Who but so would my twin brother Crombie.

"We could take turns as we are identical but my favourite monster is the Cybermen and Crombie likes the Daleks the best.

"If we don't end up being the Doctor, we'd like to invent the monsters on Doctor Who."

The youngster sent in a picture of him and his twin brother Crombie having a tea party with their Doctor Who toys, alongside a letter.

His prize included a Cyberman visiting his school, Holm Primary School in Inverness, and a VIP family ticket to the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Celebration at the ExCel Centre in London.

He said: "One day Doctor Who was on the television and, once it was finished, I said to Mummy, "Oh Mummy put that back on again because it was so brilliant."

"Matt Smith and David Tennant are my favourite Doctors.

"I love the way they run around all the time. They are both really funny and have great hair. Doctor Who is so cool and I love the monsters."

When the Cyberman visited his school last week, Flynn loved the fact the other kids were frightened of him.

He said: "He was amazing. He was really strong and lifted both me and my brother up together.

"He bashed all the tables and chairs away and he went around scaring some of the kids. Some of the boys and girls were really frightened of him but I wasn't as I loved him.

" He was my friend and I gave him a cuddle. Cybermen are totally awesome."

This Saturday marks the 50th h of anniversary of Doctor Who with a special edition Doctor Who Adventures featuring Smith and Tennant.

The hunt by the magazine was for fans aged between five and 13.

hundreds Picked out of hundreds of fantastic entries, the magazine received an unprecedented response.

Moray Laing, editor of Doctor Who Adventures, said: "We had so many brilliant entries for the Superfan competition, but Flynn's Monster Tea Party was an incredibly creative and unique idea.

"Accompanying his photograph were new monster designs for the show and a fantastic letter telling us what Doctor Who means to him and his brother Crombie - who are known at school as the Doctor Who twins.

"The brothers celebrate the 50th anniversary perfectly by dressing up as the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors - and with such impressive attention to detail.

"If you look closely at the photo, you'll see Jammie Dodgers and Dalek pancakes on the cake stand."
