[edit]

If she has her way, she'll be one of the first people in line to attend the "Doctor Who Festival" today and tomorrow at the Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia.

Dr. Who for the last 22 years is a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels about through galaxies and centuries the way the rest of us navigate the expressway from our offices to our homes. The show has gained a sizable following in the U.S. since it began airing here in 1973.

The series, which currently plays in 54 countries with an estimated regular viewing audience of more than 100 million, has had five Doctor Who's in the title role starting with the late William Hartnell, then Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Peter Davison. The current Who, Colin Baker, is this weekend's featured speaker.

"Who" fans (who refer to themselves as "Whovians") will be visiting the convention not only to meet Baker and "Who" producer John Nathan-Turner, but to view several "Who" videos, participate in question-and-answer sessions, battle in a "Who" trivia contest, get autographs and exchange stories with other fans.

In addition, look for a variety of "Dr. Who" paraphernalia - jackets, T-shirts and candy.
