"Dr. Who, a space fantasy adventure favorite of WPSX-TV viewers, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in production on Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Channel 3. "Dr. Who" --premiered on WPSX-TV on Monday, Sept. 19, 1983.

This special "Dr. Who" program reunites the five doctors who have played the doctor throughout the two decades of this BBC production. Much of the plot for the anniversary remains a mystery. It is known, however, that the doctors are forced to play the Game of Rassilon — a series of problem-solving situations with a loser's prize of instant death, delivered by various foes including the Cybermen and the Daleks.

WPSX-TV airs the "Dr. Who" series starring Tom Baker as the doctor each weeknight at 11 p.m. Viewers are encouraged to write in as the Whoovian "Fan of the Day," which is announced each night after "Dr. Who." To become a Fan of the Day or to send a "Dr. Who" birthday card, viewers can write: Dr. Who, WPSX-TV, Wagner Annex, University Park, Pa. 16802.
