Saturday BBC1: THE Doctor, Romana and K9 are summoned to the planet of Tigella in Meglos, a four-part Dr Who adventure by John Flanagan and Andrew McCulloch which begins at 6.15pm.

For many years the inhabitants have relied on the Dodecahedrona my terious energy source feeding their underground city. where they live to escape the hostile vegetation on the surface Now the power has become unstable and the end of the civilisation seems imminent. Zastor, their wise leader, sends an appeal for help to his old friend the Doctor.

Tom Baker plays Doctor Who with Lalla Ward as Romana and includes Bill Fraser as General Grugger and Edward Underdown as Zastor.
