Bill and the Doctor battle giant insects in a spooky mansion...

DOCTOR WHO

Saturday, 7.2Opm BBC1 Drama

The Doctor and Bill find themselves trapped inside an old house where creaky floorboards, strange knocking sounds and giant insects cause terror and mayhem in this week's Doctor Who adventure.

Bill and her student pals are looking for somewhere to live when they stumble on the mansion, owned by a mysterious man who calls himself 'the Landlord'.

But when moves in with her friends. all sorts of desillisbing things start to happen which make the gang feel uneasy about their host.

'The Landlord's charming says Poirot star David Suchet, who plays him. 'But like all charming people, what's lurking behind the smile? When one of her friends disappears, a suspicious Bill seeks help from the Doctor.'

As they investigate, the Doctor and Bill discover thousands of giant creepy cravvlies and come across a strange girl who seems to be made of wood.

'The Landlord doesn't mind the creatures,' says David. 'But they may make you want to hide behind the sofa - or climb on top of it!'

Appearing in Doctor Who is a dream come true for David who's wanted to be in the show ever since he was young.

'I said yes before I'd read the script!' he says. 'It's the most iconic show on TV, so who wouldn't want to be in it?'
