[edit]

Poor old Dr. Who (BBC-1, Saturday, November 29, 5.45) has got himself into something of a state, having lost both the tardis and the faithful Sarah Jane Smith whose face fell off at the end to reveal the cogs and wheels behind the mask.

All good, clean fun, with Tom Baker taking the gallant doctor through the second part of a four-part tale by Terry Nation who knows how to make the most of strange beings from outer space — in this instance the froglike Styggron (Martin Friend).

The Android Invasion is by no means the least exciting and original of a long series. Barry Letts kept it all moving fast and furiously.
