Keeping a date with television's time-and-space traveller, "Dr. Who" on Saturday is Stephanie Bidmead, actress daughter Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Bidmead, of 27, Tamworth Road, Lichfield.

For Stephanie plays one of the four "Drahvins," the absent-minded doctor's latest adversaries in this popular children's hour. B.B.C. programme.

The Drahvins are a following to the famous "Daleks," and, says show producer Verity Lambert, while it makes a change to have a team of girls as Dr. Who's enemy, they are just as menacing as the Daleks ever were !

Miss Bidmead has had many in television plays including the "Cluff" and "Sherlock Holmes" series. She also has a role in a "B" film -- not yet released -- called "The Invaders."

A few years ago she played two leading parts in a Shakespearean season at Stratford-on-Avon -- Hippolyta in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and Goneril in "King Lear." She also took over from Dane Edith Evans when the famous actress her arm in a car accident.

Before joining the Stratford company Stephanie was with the Perth Repertory players. After earlier training at Coventry.

She is married to stage designer Mr. Henry Bardon, now for Covent Garden. They have son aged two, and live in Highgate.
