Blonde Stephanie Heesom appeared on BBC-2's "Man Alive" programme a month ago Talking about the problems of getting ahead of the competitive world of acting 

Until then she had made only one TV appearance a small part in a "Hugh and I" comedy episode.  

But thanks to the impact she made on "Man Alive," Stephanie, 23, can be seen tonight pulling off a TV double.  

First she pops up in the BBC's [[broadwcast:The Ark|Dr. Who serial]] at 5.15 p.m. as a Guardian - a race of people who fled to the Earth for the planet Refusis.

Hobby 

And, an hour later, she plays a nurse in "Dixon of Dock Green."

Both parts are recorded.  

"They've been two wonderful breaks," says Stephanie, who still in jobs when she wasn't acting included charring, clerking and stage managing.  

At her home in Pimlico, London, she has an away-from-it-all hobby of doodling strange creatures.  She calls them Droobs ... and that sounds straight out of Dr. Who.
