TELEVISION actor William Hartnell is quite happy to be known now as Dr Who. Docking at North Shields yesterday after a two-week holiday in Norway, he was raring to get back to the series in ten days' time.

"I'm really quite happy to be in a regular series" he said. "After all, I have had many years of touring in the live theatre and doing film work.

"I feel that I'm moving with the times in TV, and in some ways it's nice to be associated with a particular part."

His Norwegian holiday turned out to be a very pleasant one. "He was hardly recognised" said his wife. "I don't think they have hear of Dr. Who or the Daleks over there."

But we will certainly be seeing more of him on TV. After ten days' holiday, Mr. Hartnell gets back to work in time to take part in [[broadwcast:The Myth Makers|the siege of Troy]]. And after that, [[broadwcast:The Daleks' Master Plan|12 episodes of the Daleks]].
