TOP GEAR, Sherlock and Doctor Who could all feature in a £2billion theme park.
Executives at the BBC have agreed a multi-million pound deal over the rights to use some of their top shows as attractions.
It means Brits could end up riding a Top Gear-style rollercoaster or fighting Daleks in a state-of-the-art ride. Hollywood giant Paramount Pictures is already backing the development near Swanscombe, Kent, which will include a water park and 2,000-seat theatre.
London Resort Company Holdings said the "partnership agreement" with BBC Worldwide would "mean some of the best-loved and celebrated programmes and characters to appear on British TV could be brought to life."
The resort is scheduled to be opened in 2020. Stephen Davies, Director of Live Events at BBC Worldwide, said: "We're always looking for opportunities to extend fans' enjoyment of their favourite shows."
David Testa, director of LRCH, said the BBC had played an instrumental role in shaping the British entertainment industry.
The new resort would combine the "glamour of Hollywood with the best of British culture."
