'This Is Science Fiction: An Epic Album of Adventure And Exploration' (Virgin)

Double set of Intergalactic TV and movie themes explodes on launch-pad. All crew perish

You know it's time to call a cab when your host resorts to the "Hey, remember when this was on telly?" routine. Without old sci-fi music there would be no techno, but this double set buries cool stuff under anything vaguely space-related. Whatever chill-out audience It is targeting, no drug In the world can make the theme from Mork & Mindy sound epic. Poor judgement also reigns - the Dr Who theme is not the genius original but the 80s remake. Orbital are even now picketing Virgin's HO. AH

'Star Wars Cantina Band'

'Theme From The Tomorrow People'

'Also Sprach Zarathustra' from 2001- A Space Odyssey

'Theme From Space:1999'
