[edit]

IT'S curtain-up time for a new Dr Who team. Colin Baker makes his debut tonight as the sixth good doctor in the BBC TV adventure's 20-year run.

Nicola Bryant, who plays his assistant Peri, was on hand in London yesterday to welcome him aboard.

The outgoing Dr. Who, Peter Davison, "dies" tonight and Colin steps into his shoes in the magical, mysterious way they do things in the series.

It's a spectacular debut, but Colin seems unlikely to see it. While he was preparing for the big night, thieves raided his Buckinghamshire home and stole his TV and video.
