JODIE WHITTAKER lorded it over her rivals by pulling in the highest ratings for a Doctor Who series opener in 12 years with 8.2 million viewers. The episode was the highest BBC1 drama debut this year, beating Keeley Hawes in Bodyguard, which launched in August with 6.7 million viewers.
