Can you you solve the mysteries that Pink Paper readers have been pondering over?


The character was deeply attractive to boys, like me, growing up gay at a time when suitable role models were pretty thin on the ground.

Dr Who was an outsider who always won respect. He was eccentric and outlandish in appearance (evidently possessing a weakness for flamboyant clothes), but seemed oblivious to the fact that people thought him strange. He was always himself and never attempted to hide what he was. His attitude was "I'm coming from somewhere else to most people, and they are just going to have accept it, because I know I'm right." And he usually was.

The Doctor considered the women who travelled with him to be special friends, and they felt secure with him because no sexual threat was ever forthcoming.

Since the last change of producer, Dr Who is, unfortunately, the same show in name only. I look forward to a time when the show is resurrected with a woman cast in the leading role, and I would like to take the opportunity to propose Beatrix Campbell as the best possible candidate for this.
