Dr. Who
When Walt Belcher said that Dr. Who was "strange and is usually accompanied by a meddlesome companion," I couldn't have been more insulted.
The only reason they can't pay commercial stations to play "Dr. Who" is because it is very expensive. Second, they have no taste. I think Belcher gave Dr. Who the short end of the stick again. If someone doesn't appreciate good science fiction, he just shouldn't watch it. There's no sex or violence in it.
As for it being a strange bedfellow, I disagree. Where would you see this kind of experiment? Certainly not on TV.

Belcher's column said Doctor Who "meddled," not his companions. — Editor
