I TOTALLY agree with Stephen Fry when he says too much TV is infantile. I have tried to watch Dr Who and Robin Hood, but it is hard to imagine anyone over 18 enjoying them. Much of American TV is rightly lauded and critically acclaimed; it makes a mockery of the dumbed-down trash the BBC comes out with, funded with our money. Check out The Wire (BBC2 showed this, but so late at night it was ridiculous) or House to see what I mean. Intelligently written, superbly acted and there are many more examples.
