Theatre N is going all Time Lord on us by sponsoring a premiere of the new season of "Dr. Who" at 8 p.m. Saturday.
The show, which follows the adventures of a time-traveling alien, occasionally changes leads, under the conceit that the doctor "regenerates" into a new form. Saturday's show features the debut of Peter Capaldi as the 12th doctor in six decades. The doctor was most recently played by Matt Smith, David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston. At 56, Capaldi is the oldest doctor since the first, William Hartnell.
Jenna Coleman returns as Clara Oswald, who also was Smith's sidekick. This year, she will have an earthbound boyfriend in between trips on the Tardis, a time machine shaped like an old-fashioned British police telephone booth.
