TOM BAKER, who is currently rehearsing a new Dr Who series for the BBC, says he once considered taking up cricket as a career. He swings a creditable bat for the Lord's Taverners and will be playing for them again on August 29. Pity he didn't bat for England in the latest lamentable Test series. A bit of help from the Time Lords is about the only thing which could defeat the Dalek horrors of bowling from Holding and Roberts.
