The outgoing Doctor Who, Matt Smith, took his inspiration from Bob Dylan as he paid tribute to the show's fans. Smith, who has played the Doctor for three series, made a short film in which he held up a series of cards, below, thanking viewers, co-stars and the show's executive producer, Steven Moffat.
Dylan famously held up cards in the film accompanying his song-Subterranean Homesick Blues. Smith has his hair cropped for a new role.
