The 22nd anniversary of Doctor Who, the longest running science fiction television series. will be celebrated at Tardis 22 from Friday, Nov 29 to Sunday, Dec 1 at the Hyatt Regency, Chicago.
Advance tickets are $40 for three-day admission, and $30 for two days. Children under five will be admin. free with a paying adult Tickets may be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets or charged by calling 559-1212 For further information, call 559-1212. Attendance will be limited
Live appearances will be made by three of the six actors who have portrayed Doctor Who—Colin Baker, Jon Pertwee and Patrick Troughton. Joining the Doctors will be his most popular companions: Sarah Jane (Elisabeth Sladen), Romana (Lalla Ward), Leela (Louise Jameson), Tegan (Janet Fielding), Nyssa (Sarah Sutton), Turlough (Mark Strickson), Peri Brown (Nicola Bryant), as well as his arch enemy The Master (Anthony Ainley); and the men of U.N.I.T., Doctor Who stuntman Terry Walsh, and the show's producer John Nathan Turner.
The convention will feature continuous screenings of rare Doctor Who episodes, question and answer panels the premiere of a new Doctor play, a show and auction of Doctor Who artwork, a costume contest judged by Doctor Who celebrities, a celebrity cabaret, a multi-media presentation of the program's history, a lunch with the stars and other events.
