[edit]

London, Sept. 20. "Dr. Who," BBC-TV's action skein which is cutting a sales dash overseas as well as pulling ratings and merchandising deals locally, is to get a new lead.

William Hartnell who has held the role of the sci-fi doctor for the past three years is being replaced by Patrick Troughton, a w.k. heavy hereabouts. Lead character is to undergo some personality change, too, according to BBC sources.
