The show will be presented as a half-hour serial five nights a week with episodes featuring the current Dr. Who, Peter Davison. Program manager Alan Cloe closed the deal for "Dr. Who" just as Channel 20 begins its major fund drive of the year in which the public station hopes to raise $135,000 from 3,600 new subscribers between now and March 16.

The station has been under continuing pressure by a hard-core group of "Dr. Who" fans. who call themselves the Whoosier Network, to acquire rights to the show. Last December, Channel 20 broadcast a 90-minute "Dr. Who" special that was well received.

"Dr. Who" has been playing on British television for 22 years and Davison is the fifth actor to assume the role. The only previous airing of the show here was for six months in 1984 when Channel 59 broadcast weekly. 90-minute episodes featuring the: fourth Dr. Who, Tom Baker.
