The world's only "experience theater on wheels" will visit town on Nov. 29 and 30 when it comes to Columbia Mall.

A sophisticated mobile unit built by the British Broadcasting Corporation in support of its long-running television show, "Doctor Who," this animated road show will feature all the monsters and villains that have bedeviled Dr. Who in recent years.

The hero of the 23-year-old series, Dr. Who, is a time-traveling wizard who battles evil in the universe. "Dr. Who" is the most successful British television export ever and has been seen by more than 110 million viewers in about 60 countries.

The animated characters are housed in a 48-foot trailer. Set behind reinforced glass, the figures are brought to life through various special lighting and sound effects. The two-year tour began in Washington, D.C., in May.

Visitors in Columbia will enter the exhibition by walking through TARDIS, the docto7's time-traveling craft forever locked in the shape of an old English police call box. They can see a model of the ship's control panel before entering into the illusion of space.

"Dr. Who" souvenirs will be sold outside the exhibit. More information may be obtained by calling
