[edit]

DOCTOR WHO writer Steven Moffat says he avoids the Internet like the plague for fear of incurring the wrath of irate fans.

Moffat, 49, right, made his decision after reading less than flattering comments about former writer Russell T Davies' scripts.

"I used to go online when Russell was writing it and see what they said about him so I thought

when it's my time I'm just not going on," he said at a screening of the hit show's next episode, Let's Kill Hitler, at the BFI on London's South Bank.

While he fully welcomes fans' opinions he doesn't want to read angry comments from those who don't like the plot twists: "It's nice but we're not that aware of it unless you go online which I don't do any more."
