Dr Who Zapped

BBC TV has abandoned plans or a new Dr Who series this year.
And that could mean a final exit for Sylvester McCoy. the seventh actor to play the intrepid Time Lord, and his sidekick Sophie Aldred.
Their contract options have been withdrawn.
The BBC hopes to find an independent producer to take over the series and it is believed that cast changes would he likely.
A spokesman said: "It won't be possible to discuss casting until decisions are made about the new format."
McCoy won't be vanishing from the screen completely this year. De will be in a new series of the children's show What's Your Story? next month.
