TIME Travelling Dr Who helped save a fan during a suicide bid.
The woman in her twenties said she was going to kill herself seconds after meeting actor Sylvester McCoy.
The mystery girl told the space doc, the seventh actor to play the role: "I want to die. I'll never be as happy again!"
The drama happened at an American Science Fiction convention held on a luxury liner off the Mexican coast at Acapulco.
But McCoy and other Dr Who fans managed to calm her.
McCoy said: "She got a bit emotional. We had to talk her down from jumping off the side of the boat because she was just so happy! It's sad really."
