GOOD news for all you Doctor Who fans.
You don't have to wait for that American-made Doctor Who movie due out in October.
An excellent Time Lord adventure is ready to hit BBC-Radio 2 starring Jon Pertwee who played the role on TV in the mid-1970s.
Entitled The Ghosts of N-Space the radio drama is set in Italy where fiendish happenings in an old castle get the Time Lord's attention.
Sci/fi on radio has proved a big hit for the BBC and Doctor Who is no exception.
The radio team working on the show are steeped in Dr Who tradition. Besides Jon Pertwee other cast members like Elizabeth Madera (Sarah Jane Smith), Nicholas Courtney (the Brigadier) and Stephen Thorne (baddie) — have appeared at various times in the TV series.
And Barry Letts the producer of the radio show and also the writer of the book version (just out) produced the TV series from 1970-74.
While British fans are fretting over what the Americans are going to do to their time travelling hero the Doctor's followers here can look forward to a first ever, Irish connection in the form of new Doctor Who — Irish Liverpool actor Paul McGann.
