PETER Davison is having his last ride as Dr Who. Next week he hands over the controls of the Tardis to Colin Baker, the sixth doctor in the famous BBC science-fiction story.
The first story in the new series, The Caves Of Androzani, will feature Davison in his now familiar cricket flannels and tailcoat right up to the fourth episode, when Baker takes over.
The changeover means that Janet Fielding, the Brisbane actress who has been Davison's assistant, is also being phased out.
