"Dr Who" came face to face with a new kind of alien at a science fiction fair In Liverpool organised by the Liverpool Science Fiction Modelling Club.
John Field, from Blackpool, former curator of a museum dedicated to the Doctor, played the part of actor Colin Baker at the "Timewarp 86" event at a city centre hotel.
The Time Lord met Rusty Barnes and Dave Cantrell, members of a club In Chesterfield, whose hobby is dressing up as the lizard-like creatures from outer apace who Invade the earth disguised as humans in the American TV programme "V".
"Dr Who" is pictured ready to embark on a new adventure.
