[edit]

Channel 39's weeknight "Dr. Who" series, telecast Monday-Friday at 11 p.m., will become a Saturday afternoon movie treat for Lehigh Valley 'Who' buffs, starting Saturday, Dec. 1 at noon, when WLVT-TV begins a weekly repeat of all five Dr. Who telecasts.

The station will present a continuous 2 1/2 hour telecast of all serialized chapters of "Dr. Who" from the preceding week.

"This will give a chance for Dr. Who fans who may have missed one of the weeknight chapters to see it on Saturday afternoons. It will also allow any people in the Valley who might want to follow the series and can't view at 11 p.m. to see all the programs at an early time," according to Donald L. Robert, WLVT-TV39 program director. "It's like the old-time Saturday afternoon at the serial movies, but you'll have to provide your own popcorn at home," he added.
