Dr Who to wed Romana

The Liverpool-born son of a chambermaid, "Dr. Who" star Tom Baker, is to marry the girl who in his assistant in the science fiction TV series. Lalla Ward.
The couple, whose secret romance started at the beginning of this year, are to be married is London near Christmas.
Earlier this month, Tom Baker (45), divorced with two grown-up sond, of announced be was retiring from the long-running children's series after five years as the time-travelling doctor — the longest stint an actor in the part.
Lalla, who has played his girl assistant Romana for the past two years, is to leave the series, and will be seen only in episodes until Christmas.
The 29-year-old actress said at her Chelsea home to-day: "We plan to get married between now and Christmas. But I have not done this sort of thing before so I don't know how long it will take to organise."
Tom Baker spent six years as a monk in a very strict order in France and is said to have left because he felt it was time for "women and pubs."
