Dr Who v. Pac-Man
DOCTOR Who fans have a new treat in store in May — a computer game based on the TV series.
The idea came to Graham Williams, who produced the famous Quest For The Key To Time episodes for the BBC (and is now producing Anglia's Tales Of The Unexpected) when he tried to fit a computer game into a Doctor Who episode.
Now 17-year-old Jeremy Ruston, 'a very bright lad who lives and breathes computers' says Williams, is completing the computer program.
'You have the same sort of problems making a game as producing a TV series,' says Williams.
'The background to Doctor Who is the entire universe, and all eternity as well, but in thinking up alternatives you come up against the limitations of the computer's memory, or the limitations of studio space.'
