Earthlings baulk at two grand Dalek

  • Dr Who fans rushed to a sale of entertainment memorabilia at Bonhams in Lots Road, Chelsea.
  • But most baulked when it came to paying up to £2,000 for this Dalek and his slightly less expensive pal.
  • The orange and black fibre glass replica of the first Dalek. which appeared in the 1963 Dr Who film, failed to sell.
  • But his partner in crime the Cyberman. complete with voice changer, fetched a massive £1,150 at last Thursday's sale.
  • Also up for grabs were a selection of original props including a black and silver Davros chariot and a full-scale model of the Tardis.
