COMEDIAN Eddie Izzard has been tipped as the new Dr Who when the BBC series returns to TV screens in 2005. Former Time Lord Tom Baker said of the cross-dressing comic on Radio 5 Live yesterday: "Eddie has an alien quality. I like the way he dresses. He could do his own wardrobe." Jonathan Creek star Alan Davies and Richard E Grant are the bookies' favourites to take the role.
