NEW Doctor Who Jodie Whittaker is leaving American TV viewers baffled by her strong Yorkshire accent.
The actress, 36, who debuts on Sunday, told the Late Show in the US that she comes from Huddersfield. But a bewildered subtitles worker typed in "Hoodezfield".
The gaffe went viral, with one Twitter user saying: "A valiant attempt!' Another said: "The Z is a nice touch, bold but nice."
