Two of .BB.C's Daleks are missing. And to-night, 10,000,000 children — who would normally "hiss" and "boo" the fearsome machines will be asked to help find them.
They were sent to Cardiff recently for a regional television programme. They were returned to London, but have since disappeared.
Dr. Who producer, Mr. Barry Letts, said to-day: "I'm a bit hesitant to say they have been stolen. They were standing around at the television centre and it is possible they were picked up by the wrong lorry and are in a warehouse somewhere.
An appeal will be made to the followers of B.B.C.-1's children's programme, "Blue Peter."
Ten Daleks are used by the production team but only three are the more complex type which do most of the moving around, giving the order to "E-X-T-E-R-M-I-N-A-T-E"
The two that are missing are of the "super breed."
