DR WHO made its return last night with a new series, but anyone over 20 could be forgiven for thinking it was a repeat.
Even the Doctor kept calling a military Group Captain who turned up Brigadier, recalling a much loved character from the days when the monsters still frightened me.
Then, if the deja-vu feeling had not got the better of you, the daleks turned up threatening to exterminate everyone in sight.
It is sad that a short which once had a huge and loyal following is reduced to re-hashing old story lines.
In a recent interview I heard the present Doctor, Sylvester McCoy, saying he thought the series could last another 25 years - the Doctor might but the scripts already hare the signs of a fatal illness.
