If you think that the monsters in the "Dr Who" TV programme are too terrifying for children, just take a look at this little lot.
Menacing. Mysterious. Unearthly. Just the sort of thing children want to see on the BBC-TV series These are a few of their 250,000 entries in a Competition aimed at finding a new monster for the programme.
Incredible
"We've had an incredible response," said Miss Biddy Baxter, editor of "Blue Peter," the children's show on which the competition was launched last month.
"I should imagine we've had monsters from every city, town and village in Britain," she added.
The winning entries will be shown on "Blue Peter" next Thursday. And the top monsters may eventually be seen on "Dr. Who."
